About

Support, awareness, and fundraising is our mission!

Support

Our support arm comes in the form of the #IBDSuperHeroes Facebook group. Whether you want to ask questions, have a rant about things other people just don't understand, or simply want a chat, the #IBDSuperHeroes team and group members are here for you! 👫👭

We try to run at least a couple of events each year, where people with IBD can meet in-person. Plus, we have regular online events for members such as weekly weekend catch-ups, and a film club📽!

The #IBDSuperHeroes team exist to manage the day to day running of the group, ensuring that your time with us is enjoyable and that your support needs are met. Whether that be answering your questions, pointing you in the right direction of information, giving you gentle virtual hugs, or simply bumping your post to give other people the opportunity to help that may have missed it.

We also share the tasks needed for our awareness-raising efforts, such as daily social media engagement, video editing and event planning! The team behind the scenes are;

Fundraising

Our main goal is to find a cure for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

ALL money raised by #IBDSuperHeroes is invested into patient-centric research, to improve the lives of those with IBD and ultimately, to find a cure. 🧫

We are fundraising on behalf of Cure Crohn’s Colitis, who invest 100% of donations into research projects throughout the UK. They work tirelessly, and for free, because they have all been affected by IBD in some way; personally, professionally, or have watched someone they care about fight this debilitating, and so far INCURABLE disease.

“Cure Crohn’s Colitis has the sole objective of raising money to help fund research to cure Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Every penny we raise goes directly to funding these research projects. All of our members are unpaid volunteers who pay for any admin costs out of their own pocket.”

Together we are stronger.
Together we can fight harder.
Together – we CAN be HEROES!
