Featured Fundraiser | Louise & Stephen Gomm – August 2020

This month, we have TWO for the price of one 😀 

Stephen is part of the #IBDSuperHeroes team; he is an admin on the Facebook support group, AND he creates all of our videos! Louise is his super talented wife 😍 so they have been working together as the ultimate dream team this month!

So, here's a little bit more about what they are doing and why!

Tell us about your fundraiser! What are you doing?

For our fundraiser, we decided to make face masks and sell them for donations to Cure Crohn's Colitis via IBDSuperheroes.

Why did you choose to do THIS as a fundraiser? What inspired you?

My wife, Louise, was bought a new sewing machine by her sister. She has been making bunting to go in our rabbit houses and then decided that she would attempt to make face masks for us. She enjoyed it so much that she thought it might be a good idea to make them for donations to Cure Crohn's Colitis. After a few different designs and encouragement from me and the other admin from the IBDSuperHeroes group, the idea became reality.

Why did you choose to raise funds for #IBDSuperHeroes/Cure Crohn’s Colitis?

I have been an admin for IBDSuperHeroes for over 4 years and have Crohn's disease, so I have been raising funds for Cure Crohn's Colitis since then. It's a no brainer as 100% of donations go to research as no one involved in the charity takes a wage!

The masks have been really popular, so Louise has been a busy bee! They've sourced fabrics when people have requested something they don't already have, and have truly gone above and beyond!
